Kavita Sharma, DO
Kavita Sharma, DO is board certified in both pain medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation. She earned her medical degree from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME and went on to complete a medical/surgical internship with Saint Michael’s Medical Center, Newark, NJ. Dr. Sharma completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at NYU School of Medicine Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, followed by fellowship training in the subspecialty of interventional pain management and spine disorders with Florida Spine Institute.
Dr. Sharma is active in several professional associations including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Florida Academy of Pain Medicine, Florida Society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Florida Osteopathic Medical Association. With her extensive and varied training, Dr. Sharma is able to offer patients a multi-faceted approach to chronic pain management. She enjoys the hands-on nature of interventional pain management and provides alternatives to opioid use or surgical intervention whenever possible for the management of chronic pain. Dr. Sharma’s goal is to offer relief to patients in a direct way that improves their quality of life.
